Is mid-November too late to be creating gift guides? Maybe. Does better late than never apply here? I hope so!
Here’s the first of my 2024 gift guide series, starting out with the Holiday Gift Guide for Cool Girls. As someone who has a lot of cool girl friends I think I’ve learned a few things here are there. I tried to include a whole range of things so that we’re covering all the bases. The thing about cool girls is they’re all so uniquely different, and that’s what makes them so damn cool.
For journaling cool girls
I honestly can’t think of a better gift than a Paper Republic leather journal. I discovered these earlier this year while in Boston and since have purchased 2 and got gifted 2. After being utterly consumed with my obsession with these journals, I finally reached out to the company last year to ask them for a discount for my community. I don’t even make affiliate $$ on this, I just genuinely love them. For the girls who love to carry a journal with them everywhere, get the Grand Voyageur in the pocket size. For the girls who spend all their time at their desks like me (or just carry big bags), get the XL size. Or if you feel like splurging—get the portfolio. It’s worth it, trust me.
You can get 30% off using my code ANGELPR30 on bundles only. I’d recommend getting the writers bundle.
You can't journal without a pen and the fountain pen that I reach for the most just so happens to be the least expensive one I own which is always a pleasant surprise. The Lamy Safari is perfect whether you're just getting into fountain pens or someone who just needs a convenient fountain pen to reach for. They also come in all different colours so you can match it to your PR leather journal.
A cool girl wallet
I don’t know when we all collectively stopped carry massive wallets but I’m so thankful for it. Ever since I got my first YSL cardholder I never looked back. This year I would recommend the Bottega Veneta one. It’s a bit pricy, but it’s such a classic brand and aesthetic that you just can’t go wrong. If your cool girl likes silver, the men’s collection has a silver one.
Cool girl scents
I could spend all day recommending perfumes these days—I’m a bit obsessed. If you just joined our newsletter community or haven’t discovered my TikTok yet, Hi I’m Angel. I’m addicted to perfume. But to keep things simple, I’ve narrowed my cool girl perfumes to just 3.
For the cool girls who love vanilla but want to exude sexy confidence get them Babycat from YSL. For the cool girls who love vanilla but like something unique and soft, get them Dama Bianca from Xerjoff’s Casamorati line. Lastly, for the cool girls who want something classic but also niche and special, who like smelling woody, warm, and sensual—get Gris Charnel by BDK, the Extrait version.
I do also have a discount code with TwistedLily so you can use ANGELZ for 10% off perfumes! (Not affiliate, just a discount for you <3)
For the wellness cool girls
Now if it’s one thing I know about cool girls, it’s that they take care of themselves. One of the best gifts I’ve given myself this year is my Oura ring. Being able to track my sleep quality, stress levels, and even get insights into my cycle has been a blessing. It’s helped me learn about my body in a lot of new ways and has actually pushed me to seriously look at how I cope with stress and implement some new changes and routines to try to lower my cortisol levels (more on this soon). So no, it’s not gimmicky (I was once skeptical too) and I think the health and wellness conscious cool girl in your life would appreciate it too.
I’ve added so many things to my bedtime routine that has made it a bit of a sacred time for me so continuing on with the self-care theme, I think every cool girl needs a few things for bedtime. No nighttime routine is complete without a good body butter, this one by Youth To The People is my current favorite. Wearing designated pajamas has also completely changed how I see bedtime. I used to be a “throw-any-ratty-tee” on kind of girl, but ever since I got the Intimissimi silk slip jammies I just can’t look back.
For the techy cool girls
Lastly we can’t forget about the creative cool girls or the techy cool girls. This year, I got the pleasure of working with Logitech (one of my dream brands) and they sent me their new MX Creative Console to try. As someone who has her creative workflow really baked in, I thought it would be a challenge to add a new tool to my ecosystem. Boy, was I wrong. The creative console is SO intuitive and has completely changed how I use tools on my computer. The creative pad makes it so easy to use shortcuts on any program and I love the dial for minute adjustments when I’m editing. I’m definitely a creature of habit but it was so easy to love the Creative Console and it’s something I’ve recommended to several friends. If you have a cool girl in your life who is always using keyboard shortcuts and lives in Adobe, this is a personal must.
Hope you were able to find something in this post for all the cool girls in your life. Stay tuned for a few more holiday gift guides from me this year!
