5 Things - no. 2

I can’t believe a whole month has gone by and we’re now days into September. I know everyone is feeling it—honestly where has the year gone? For myself, my focus lately has been having a healthier mindset, being present more, and being kinder to myself. Less multi-tasking, less worrying about what’s next. It’s a hard thing to practice (especially when you’re just generally an anxious person), but we’re working on it (:

Here are 5 things that’s been worth mentioning

  1. A recipe that I love. I tried this super easy curry udon recipe and have been absolutely obsessed with it. I discovered this website called Justonecookbook.com and they seem to have tons of delicious Japanese recipes. I’ve only tried two so far but they’ve both been delicious.
  2. A new Apple Watch band I’ve discovered. I’ve always loved the unique Apple Watch bands you can find on Amazon but this is by far my favourite so far. I love that this band gives a sporty but street-style feel and they’re actually quite comfortable and light to wear. The colours are fun too but they have a clear one that’ll go with everything.
  3. A book that I devoured. I just finished Ghosts by Dolly Alderton and wow. It’s the first book I’ve read from her and I absolutely love her writing style. It’s raw and relatable. It feels like I’m reading a friend's journal and it’s so comforting. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who’s in their late twenties, going into their 30s, and wanting a (slightly cynical but very raw) taste of what it’s like.
  4. A keyboard I’m obsessed with. We all know the Dygma Raise is my pride and joy but I’ve been testing the Melgeek Mojo68 lately and it is currently my most used keyboard. Not only is the design fun, but it feels and sounds like a custom keyboard with great dampening and a lovely feel. For a pre-built, out-of-the-box keyboard, this is really something else.
  5. A snack that I can’t stop nibbling on. I just discovered PopCorners and holy.. these are officially my new favourite snack. Always been a big fan of sweet and savoury popcorn but these are something else. If you can get your hands on some, do it now and thank me later.
